![]() ![]() I'm in the same situation, using a steam deck, i've tried the MAME (current) version (plus all other mame available options in retoarch) in emulation station which sideloads to retroarch for the in game options, i press tab key to bring up the MAME in game menu while in gameplay and the cheats option is also empty "return to previous menu", i've tried putting the "cheats.7z" in all the main cheats MAME folders and their variations in retro arch and that doesn't work, i've tried putting the cheats.7z in the same folder as the INI folder is located with another folder called ctr or something like that the cheats still didn't load, i've extracted the cheats.7z in a folder called CHEATS in that same folder where the INI was but that still didn't work, tried looking into all drives to find any other MAME folders to locate the place where the cheats. When I first started using Retroarch, I used the automatic "Cheat" updater you can select with the Retroarch menu. Do keep in mind that Mesen can be a bit demanding on your machine. It’s highly regarded as being the most accurate and compatible open source emulator available for Nintendo Entertainment System ROMs. I'm trying to get cheats working for MAME (current) within Retroarch. Mesen ended up as 1 on our list for the best NES emulator for good reason.
